Invited by friends to join their photography trip at Bukit Tabur, Taman Melawati. Which is very near to my condo.
Subject for this trip are: sun rise at Bukit Tabur. Unfortunately, its raining season now. The cloud so dense until the whole sky almost white. We start climbing up the hill bout 0610, It took us 45 min of hiking to reach the photography spots, after set up our tri-pod the sky seem very bright but the sun is nowhere to found. Darn, the sun is covered by the cloud. Since we already here, why not wait for few moments, maybe there's something to shoot.
After 1 hour of waiting n shooting, the sun finally show itself, with its weak ray .... it brighten up the dam water, colored it with mild golden hue.
That's our 'target' - Klang Gates Dam. Setting up tri-pod .....
Quoted in Digital Camera Magazine April Issue:" When the weather isn't on your side, sometimes you have to consider how you might enhance the shot in post processing".
That's what i do... with auto contrast and adjust levels to reveal the details of the sky, and darken the surrounding of the dam.
Testing with filter, added gray color to the sky. Same levels adjustment as above, now the water looks bright n golden.
My fourth time at Bukit Tabur, but the first photography trip here.
